COVERAGE:
Up to 400mē per tonne depending upon the quality of the existing surface
being covered. If a thickness of deeper than 1.5mm is required then several
thin layers are recommended rather than one thick layer. Each individual
layer should be allowed to dry prior to application of subsequent layers.
The surface, if absorbent, should be pre-dampened. Avoid excessive working
with the brush when spreading in order to avoid aggregate separation.
PREPARATION AND APPLICATION:
Ensure the surface is clean i.e. free from weeds, standing water and oily
patches. Sweep surface with yard brush to remove any old chippings etc. Fill
any potholes with patching macadam and any narrow cracks with a jointing
compound. Coldpave PB is ready to use but after extensive storage may
require stirring/kneading before use. Apply with a notched squeegee to
obtain initial even coverage. Where more than one coat is required, each
individual coat must be allowed to dry before application of subsequent
coats. Finish off the application with a dampened soft brush to provide the
finished surface texture.
A 2 - 3 man crew can achieve coverage of up to 1000mē per day dependant on
conditions.

SETTING TIME:
Coldpave PB should be applied between March and September to ensure good
drying conditions. Cold, wet and/or humid conditions will delay the setting
time. Laid at the normal thickness (1.5mm) Coldpave PB should be able to
withstand foot traffic after approximately two hours.
MAINTENANCE OF TOOLS:
All tools can be cleaned with water or, if Coldpave PB has dried, Kerosene
or Gas oil may be used. |
